Aberdeen Police probing 'unexplained' sudden death of man in Garthdee

Police have launched an investigation after the sudden death of a man in the Garthdee area of Aberdeen.

Officers were called to the scene at Ivanhoe Place at around 4.15am on Tuesday morning (August 20).

Police had taped off an area following the discovery. The man's next of kin have been made aware of his passing.

Police say they are treating the death as unexplained and that enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 4.15am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 following the sudden death of a man at Ivanhoe Place, Aberdeen.

"His death is being treated as unexplained. His next of kin have been made aware. Enquiries are ongoing."
