Academic hides marriage proposal in research paper on refrigerators

An academic hid a marriage proposal to his partner in a research paper on refrigerators.

The acknowledgements section of the paper “Performance analysis for minimally nonlinear irreversible refrigerators at finite cooling power” reads: “Rui Long wants to thank, in particular, the patience, care and support from Panpan Mao over the passed years. Will you marry me?”

Mr Long is a a PhD student in engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

The paper is published in the April edition of Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications.
