Acclaimed Co Down Mexican food spot to open new location in Belfast

An award-winning Mexican food spot is set to expand into Belfast next month.

Bebe Adrianos Mexicanos has been serving up burritos, tacos, bowls and much more from its home in Bangor since it opened its doors in 2016.

Named the 'UK's Best Burrito Bar' at the Good Food Awards in 2023, Bebe Adrianos Mexicanos has also been named the best spot for Mexican cusine in Northern Ireland at the NI Takeaway Awards.

Owner 'Fraze', a former chef with almost 20 years experience, has been sharing his exctiment to expand into Belfast on social media - hinting the new spot will be opening on the busy Malone Road area.

In a post on Facebook, he said: "It's finally happened, we're opening in Belfast.

"Over eight years in Bangor, it’s been the aim from day one to get opened in Belfast and it’s happening... We’ll be bringing our multi award winning establishment to Belfast."

With the aim to open in the "next few weeks", Bebe Adrianos Mexicanos thanked its loyal customers for helping them to achieve this dream.

The post continued: "The past three years with the huge price increases has been extremely hard on not just us but the entire hospitality sector with tens of thousands closing their doors… if I’m completely honest I was just days away from doing the same myself.

"This chance to go to Belfast has been a lifeline for Bebes, with huge footfall and traffic. The Bangor store we will be trying our very best to keep open as long as feasibly possible and hopefully long into the future.
