Ackley Bridge viewers left in tears as Missy's nan dies
Channel 4's multi-cultural school drama Ackley Bridge really took its toll on Missy this week with the death of her nan and the heartbreaking ramifications.
Tonight's episode also saw Miss Carter (Jo Joyner) admitting she copped off with Mr Nawaz (Adil Ray), which did NOT go down well – obviously – and it looks like things are going to get even worse there next week.

Lila's sexuality was the school's biggest gossip and as a result, she was forced to come out in a classroom full of teenagers in the best way ever: "I'm gay, it's not a big deal, and it's none of your business" – which is just awesome.
Viewers thought it was a very important scene to show sexuality in schools – and also in young Muslim women:
#AckleyBridge FINALLY a show that has drawn attention to the fact lesbian muslims do exist because muslims are human just like everyoneelse

#AckleyBridge I wish I had a teacher like Miss Sharif when I was in school, a teacher who was open about their sexuality. Well done
