Actor Dustin Hoffman faces more sexual misconduct allegations

US actor Dustin Hoffman is facing more claims of sexual misconduct as two women make new allegations.

Playwright Cori Thomas claims the now 80-year-old star exposed himself to her when she was 16, dropping his towel in front of her after she had dinner with him and his daughter.

She told Variety she came to know Mr Hoffman as a classmate of his daughter, and was invited into a hotel room with him after the three of them had dinner.

Ms Thomas explained he had a shower after his daughter left, and came out wearing a towel, which he dropped in front of her, exposing himself.

He then put on a dressing gown and asked her to massage his feet.

He is accused of repeatedly asking Ms Thomas if she wanted to see him naked again.

Variety also spoke to a woman called Melissa Kester, who claims the veteran Hollywood star put his hand down her trousers while they were in a recording studio.

She claims it occurred during a music recording for the film Ishtar, behind a partition, but close to Ms Kester's boyfriend.

The two new allegations come after actress Anna Graham Hunter levelled allegations of misconduct against Mr Hoffman , which he said were "not reflective of who [he is]".

She said he had groped her and made inappropriate comments while on the set of Death Of A Salesman in 1985.

Ms Thomas told Associated Press: "I recognised Ms. Hunter's story as the truth immediately because of the similarities to what happened to me.

"In response to why I've stayed quiet for so many years, I have not stayed quiet for so many years, friends and family have been aware of this story for many many years, I just didn't go to newspapers with the story is all.

"And I regret that. I realise now, that the reason this continued to happen to others, was because of my silence, and I feel guilty about that but I hadn't even processed how badly this shamed and hurt me."

Actor Matt Damon has spoken about the sex scandal, admitting he could not think of a female friend who didn't have a story to tell from "some point in their life".

However, he said the problem was not all men in Hollywood.

"I would like to point out that, even though it feels like there's this avalanche of men, how many people in the movie business have taken a tumble now? .... Think of how many men are in the movie business... this is like 1% of the guys, It's not everybody, it just feels like it," he told Popcorn with Peter Travers on ABC.
