Actor and entrepreneur from Cambuslang is expanding theatre school into England
A former contestant on television show The Apprentice from Cambuslang is expanding his theatre school into England with an open day being held this weekend.
Reece Donnelly’s Theatre School of Scotland has earned a stellar reputation, with students landing roles in leading productions on BBC, CBBC, Disney, and Netflix, including fan favourites like Call The Midwife, Outlander, and Warner Bros’ The Lost King.
The actor and entrepreneur featured as a contestant in The Apprentice in 2023 but has been performing since he was a child, and has had television roles with CBBC, and in Waterloo Road.
Owner and principal of the award-winning Theatre School of Scotland, former Trinity High pupil Reece has been helping to shape the stars of the future since 2017 and under his leadership hundreds of young people’s lives have been transformed.
The performing arts school, which has three branches north of the border, has announced the launch of Theatre School of England. It will be located at The King’s School Macclesfield, providing an inspiring setting for young performers in Cheshire.
The expansion marks an exciting new chapter in bringing high-quality performing arts training to even more aspiring young talents.
Families and future stars are being invited to the Open Day this weekend to meet the team, tour the facilities, and get a taste of the unique training experience that Theatre School of England offers.
“Expanding to Cheshire with Theatre School of England is a dream come true,” said Reece. “I’m excited to meet the local community, discover the incredible young talent, and build a passionate team of staff who will inspire and guide our students. Launching in Cheshire is just the start. I can’t wait to see what amazing things we’ll achieve together.”
