James Corden's Carpool Karaoke is a tried and tested format – there aren't usually any surprises involved, unless you're talking about Corden's voice.

One of the most recent Carpool Karaoke skits was a little different, though, as James and his passenger, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, were pulled over by the police (!).

It had to happen at some point, we guess.

The two were singing along merrily to 'She Will Be Loved' when a sheriff pulled up alongside them and asked them to pull over – although we're not so sure his reason was valid.

Sadly, there was no proper telling off or handcuffing involved, as the sheriff just wanted to hear Adam and James perform for him. Or he just wanted his 15 minutes of fame.

And it's just as well that James managed to avoid an arrest, as the comedian and TV star is heading home to the UK for a thoroughly British run of The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Bringing his US late-night chat show to London once again, James will be chatting to the likes of Cher, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Niall Horan and Foo Fighters for the special episodes.

A year after its first visit to the UK, James' The Late Late Show is expected to include some of his regular segments, such as Crosswalk: The Musical and Take a Break, but with a British twist.

Zebra Crossing: The Musical, perhaps?

The Late Late Show with James Corden's London episodes will air from June19-22 on Sky One and NOW TV in the UK. CBS airs the show in the US.
