Addison Rae turns heads on MTV Movie & TV Awards red carpet

Addison Rae wore a striking sheer mesh bra top and belly chain to the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday.

The TikTok star, who was nominated in the Breakthrough Social Star category at the awards this year, turned heads on the red carpet, sporting a low-rise black maxi skirt by Christopher Esber, a revealing black bra top and black blazer, teamed with Stuart Weitzman heels and two silver choker necklaces.

When asked about the silver belly chain, Addison revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the jewellery was "actually part of the skirt" and twirled around to show how the two pieces were attached at the back.

The 20-year-old influencer wore her hair down in loose, beachy waves and opted for smokey eyes, a hint of blush and a neutral lip to finish off the look.

The ensemble divided fashion fans, with some hailing her nod to the 2000s as a standout on the red carpet, while others gave it the thumbs down for being too revealing and added her to their worst-dressed list.

Addison was accompanied by her He's All That co-star Tanner Buchanan, and the stars were complimented for their co-ordinating all-black looks, with Addison hinting they had been in touch before the event to discuss outfits.

"In a way, maybe a little bit," she laughed when asked if they had both planned to wear black. "Not too intentionally but we definitely had a little bit of (a talk)."

Tanner insisted the matching look is proof of how close the stars have become shooting the hotly-anticipated Netflix film, joking: "I think we just read each other's minds."

Addison also revealed she was "excited" to be back on the red carpet for the event and catching up with friends she hadn't seen in a long time.

The star later changed into a strapless plunging green floral mini dress with a dramatic train, sheer black tights and white heels to present the Best Kiss prize during the ceremony.
