Adele has given fans a sneak peek behind the scenes as she prepares to host Saturday Night Live for the first time.

The post shared on Instagram shows the Hello singer curled up in a chair and poring over a script, with a pencil in her hand.

Adele, 32, is wearing a mask and looking svelte in denim after her recent weight loss.

“3 days to go,” the snap was captioned.

Adele has previously been a guest on the US sketch show but this weekend will mark her hosting debut.

She announced her presenting slot earlier this month, admitting she was “absolutely terrified”.

“My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!!

“I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right.

“But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020 right?”

Adele’s hosting debut will come almost 12 years to the day that she first appeared on the programme.

That was just before she became massive across the pond, so she says it feels like a “full circle” moment.

Fans have been posting messages on social media saying they can’t wait to watch her on SNL, and the behind the scenes picture appears to have triggered even more excitement.

“5 YEARS WAITING FOR THIS!!” posted one fan on Instagram, while another chimed in: “This is the most excited I’ve been for anything EVER.”

Adele follows in the footsteps of a host of stars who have guest hosted the show, including Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson and Justin Timberlake.
