Adele reportedly planning a surprise hen party for Jennifer Lawrence
Adele is reportedly planning a surprise hen do for newly engaged friend Jennifer Lawrence.
The British singer-songwriter threw the Oscar-winning actor a party back in February, when Lawrence first announced that she was marrying art dealer Cooke Maroney.
But after hearing that “nobody” came to the Hunger Games star’s last-minute bachelorette event when Lawrence appeared as a guest on Catt Sadler’s NAKED podcast, Adele felt compelled to throw her pal a second bash.
"Adele wanted to organise something for Jennifer and has started sending out invites to the party,” an insider recently revealed to The Sun.

"It’s all top secret at the moment but guests have slowly been receiving their invitations and it’s looking like it will be a wild affair. Jennifer loves to party so anything could happen on the day."
Kim Kardashian West and her mother Kris Jenner are said to be among those asked to attend. Whoever does wind up coming will have to sign a filming agreement in order to create a relaxed environment for the A-list guests, claims the source.
"Adele wants to keep it a classy affair so any social media and filming is quietly discouraged. There will be some huge stars at the party so it’s important everyone can let their hair down."
Adele, 31, first met Lawrence, 28, at the Oscars back in 2013. The pair may have even bonded over their respective wins on the night, as the former picked up the award for best song with James Bond theme Skyfall and the latter bagged the best actress accolade for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.
"I remember sneaking backstage while she performed Skyfall, trying to squeeze a ball gown past a pile of ropes and cables just to get a little closer,” Lawrence recalled in an essay published by Time magazine in 2016.
“See her from another angle as if to peek behind the Great Oz's curtain.
“I had been a fan of hers since Chasing Pavements... saying 'fan' about Adele always sounds like an understatement, doesn't it?"

Just a few days ago, X-Men actor Alan Cumming looked back on the time Adele and Lawrence visited his New York City bar in March.
“We had a hilarious time,” he told People. “They went downstairs to the basement and Jennifer got her make-up done by the drag queens.
“She peed in a bucket because she didn’t want to go all the way back upstairs.”
