Adele and Jennifer Lawrence: From NYC nights out to the Oscars, a timeline of their beautiful friendship

Jennifer Lawrence has always been relatable, from her red carpet falls to her penchant for wine chugging. But her most relatable quality might be her devotion to Adele - but unlike the rest of us, they're actually best friends.

J Law and Adele recently made headlines when they reunited in New York City for a night out at a drag bar. They even ventured onstage and backstage to participate in drinking games and makeup tutorials, proving that they're the ultimate BFF goals. When can we hang out with them?

The actress and the pop star have actually been friends since 2013 when they first met at the Oscars.

Since that fateful night, they've hung out with Lawrence's Hunger Games cast-mates, grabbed dinner at chic New York restaurants, and even showed off their drinking game skills.

They first met at the 2013 Oscars. Adele won for her song “Skyfall” from the James Bond soundtrack while J. Law took a statue home for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

"I remember sneaking backstage while she performed 'Skyfall,' trying to squeeze a ball gown past a pile of ropes and cables just to get a little closer. See her from another angle as if to peek behind the Great Oz's curtain," Lawrence said about her BFF in Time's 2016 100 Most Influential People issue.

"I had been a fan of hers since 'Chasing Pavements' (saying 'fan' about Adele always sounds like an understatement, doesn't it?)," she wrote.

J Law talked to Harper's Bazaar about her wild night at the concert. "It's hard to get me out, and when I do go out I don't really stay out late. If I do stay out late and I'm partying hard, I will throw up. I don't have the tolerance to black out; I just start puking."

The pals were spotted in New York for their most memorable hang out yet, leaving everyone envious of their playdates. They went to the gay bar pieces in New York and took in a drag show - they ventured onstage to play drinking games with the host and later had their makeup done by one of the drag queens.

It was all well documented on social media. When asked her occupation, she said she was a "stay-at-home mum" to raucous applause. Her onstage dance moves have already been made into a meme.

Adele might have lost the drinking game she participated in but she won the Internet's heart.
