Adele has revealed her partner Rich Paul was “livid” after a video emerged from her Las Vegas residency on Friday night which appeared to show a male fan trying to slip her his number.

The Grammy-winning star revealed that the sports agent was left so flustered by the exchange he threatened to beat the fan up.

In the footage, which was shared on TikTok, the 34-year-old was in the middle of her performance when a middle-aged man took a photo of her and appeared to hand over a piece of paper.

The British superstar was seen laughing as she tried to hand back the piece of paper and continued singing while walking through the crowd.

However, the Hello hitmaker admitted all was not as it seemed and revealed that the gentleman wasn’t trying to give her his number but flog a car.

Speaking on stage at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace the following night, she quipped: “Someone texted me something this morning saying that a guy tried to give me his number last night when I was walking through [the audience].

“He wasn’t, he was just trying to make me buy a car from him.

“I told my boyfriend, and he was livid. He was like, ‘That man’s going to be put to sleep’.”

The star confirmed her relationship with the American sports agent in September 2021 and told Elle in August that she is “obsessed” with him.

The 40-year-old is the founder of management company Klutch Sports Group, which represents high-profile basketball stars including LeBron James, Anthony Davis and John Wall.

The singer said of Paul: “I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him.”

Adele, who headlined Glastonbury festival in 2016, announced her split from charity boss Simon Konecki in April 2019.

Their divorce was finalised in March 2021, with the former couple sharing custody of their son Angelo.

The pop superstar, who now lives in Los Angeles, said she does want to get married again but confirmed she wasn’t engaged to Paul at the time of the interview.

While she added that she does want to have more children, her focus is on her Las Vegas residency.

The Rolling In The Deep singer added: “I definitely want more kids. I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas.

“I wanna f****** nail it.”
