Proud Londoner Adele has paid tribute to her home city after Wednesday's (March 22) terror attack in Westminster.

During her show in Auckland, New Zealand, on Thursday, the singer sent her love to the victims by dedicating a very special performance of 'Make You Feel My Love' to those who sadly lost their lives.

"Today there was a terror attack in my hometown of London," Adele told the crowd. "I'm on the other side of the world and I want them to see our lights and to hear us and know we're thinking of them.

"It's very strange not being home, all I want to do today is be at home and be with my friends and family. Everyone's fine, but there are four who aren't fine, so let's dedicate this to them tonight and to my hometown."

Wednesday's attack took place on Westminster Bridge near the Palace of Westminster. Five people have since died from the attack, including a police officer and the alleged attacker.

Last night, The Nightly Show's Dermot O'Leary also paid a touching tribute to those caught up in the day's tragic events.

"Tonight we're dedicating our show to London, to the people who live here, visit here and work hard to keep us safe here," he said in his opening monologue.

Praising London for its "acceptance, tolerance, stoicism and respect," Dermot added: "As awful as yesterday was, we know that we'll endure.

"My – and it is just my humble opinion – is it will make us stronger. We'll go on living, working, playing, moaning and queueing together...here's to London, and here's to home."
