Adorable seal spotted swimming in Exeter's River Exe

A seal has been spotted swimming in the River Exe yesterday (Saturday, July 6). A lucky bystander saw the animal splashing around in the water, and said it even "popped up" right in front of them.

Carley, who spotted the young animal said they saw the seal swimming around, adding the it "popped up" in front of them. They said: "Seen him again down the river, he popped up right in front of me".

The Atlantic grey seal was snapped near Salmonpool Lane around 10am.
