Aerial Footage Shows Aftermath of Tornado in West Michigan


This aerial footage shot by drone pilot Carl Turek on Tuesday, April 11, shows the damage a small tornado wrought on a small community near Freeport, Michigan, on Monday evening.

The EF-1 twister toppled trees, ripped the roof off at least one building, and damaged other structures in the area of Tyler Creek Golf Course and Campground.

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, Michigan, reported peak wind speeds of 90 miles per hour, and said the tornado lasted five minutes. Credit: Carl Turek via Storyful
