Aerial Footage Shows Hurricane Maria Flattened Homes in St Croix

Residents of St. Croix awoke to devastation Wednesday, September 20, after Hurricane Maria tore through the island.

Trees were downed, homes flooded and roofs ripped right off buildings as the Category 5 storm left its mark on the small island, as seen in this drone footage.

St. Croix is home to about half of the U.S. Virgin Island’s 103,000 residents, Reuters reported.
