AEW presents Battle Of The Belts, its first-ever Saturday Fight Night, special on January 8 from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina.

AEW fans are used to the company running four pay-per-view shows a year (Revolution, Double Or Nothing, All Out, and Full Gear) but last May it was announced that from January 2022 there would also be four quarterly specials airing on TNT, that would take place on Saturday nights.

First up is Battle Of The Belts, a one hour Clash Of The Champions-style show that will see both the AEW Women's Championship and the AEW TNT Championship defended.

AEW Women's World Championship: Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. (c) vs Riho

Riho became the first-ever AEW Women's World Champion on October 2, 2019, and went on to hold the title for 133 days, before losing it to Nyla Rose.

But flash-forward just over two years and the AEW women's division is now dominated by Britt Baker, who has held the championship since Double Or Nothing in May.

However Riho is one of the few women in AEW that Britt is yet to beat. Back in 2019 Riho successfully defended the Women's World Championship against Britt in her first match as champion.

Then, on the November 26 edition of Rampage, Riho earned her title shot at Battle of the Belts by defeating Britt in a non-title Black Friday Deal match to earn a future championship shot.

As for who will come out victorious? It's hard to imagine AEW taking the Women's Championship off Britt and putting it back on Riho again.

The most likely outcome is Britt finally defeats Riho thanks to her friend Rebel and Jamie Hayter (who seems as if she's about to branch out on her own very soon).

Prediction: Britt Baker

AEW TNT Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs Sammy Guevara

Cody Rhodes is now in his THIRD reign as TNT Champion after defeating Sammy Guevara at Rampage: Holiday Bash on December 25.

Super-talented Sammy's reign as TNT Champion lasted just 87 days and was one of the more disappointing AEW title reigns due to a lack of big matches and storylines.

At Battle Of The Belts Sammy has a chance to regain his title from Cody, who is currently dealing with Dan Lambert and Men Of The Year.

Of course the most likely outcome is a victory for Cody, who can then continue his feud with Men Of The Year and give Scorpio Sky a title shot.

But wouldn't it just be a wonderful twist if Sammy managed to end Cody's third reign after just two weeks?

Prediction: (head over heart) Cody Rhodes
