The two-episode premiere of Agatha All Along appears to have paid a subtle tribute to one of the cast member's most iconic shows.

Marvel Studios' latest Disney+ series has finally arrived, and fans eager to catch up with the mischievous witch Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn) have turned out in droves.

At the beginning of the series, Agatha is still under the spell of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who trapped her in Westview following their confrontation at the conclusion of WandaVision.

Believing herself to be a forensic detective named Agnes, she eventually realises she's been living a lie when she encounters Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) and a mysterious teenager (Joe Locke).

She later forms a coven with three additional witches and Westview resident Mrs Hart (Debra Jo Rupp) and returns to the real world to try and regain her magic, reports the Express.

Apart from all the sorcery, one of the biggest talking points of the show so far was an apparent nod to Debra's role in That 70s Show when the witches have to sing together.

In a clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata) asks: "So, who's going high?"

Mrs Hart is rather flustered and replies: "Oh, no thank you, I don't take drugs."

Both the humour and editing of the scene seemed incredibly familiar to viewers who grew up watching Debra as Kitty Forman, and it makes sense the spin-off to WandaVision would include meta-references to other shows.

One eagle-eyed fan noticed a clever nod in the show, commenting: "This scene and the camera angles were absolutely a that 70s show reference right? Especially since mrs hart is played by debra."

Other viewers chimed in to express their agreement, with one adding: "And they were in the basement, absolutely yes."

Another viewer was thrilled by the discovery: "Omg yes!!! I was even thinking during this scene she was giving me biiiig kitty foreman vibes."

"I didn't even catch that," confessed another fan. "So disappointed in myself."

The fan who spotted the Easter egg elaborated: "Mrs hart saying 'i don't do drugs' in response to going 'high' just made my brain instantly go there hahaha."

A final comment from another fan read: "100%. It's the second time a Debra Jo Rupp character has been involved in something she doesn't really get in a basement and realized hey, this is cool actually."

As Agatha's return on Disney+ is set to be featured throughout the Halloween season, viewers can look forward to more eerie excitement and clever references in the weeks ahead.
