And the latest episode, which aired in the US last night (September 19), continued to deliver the thrills with what appeared to be a shock death.

(Although, TV viewers will know by now never to assume anything without a body.)

It did not look good for Meadow Wilton (Leslie Grossman), as episode 3 'Neighbors from Hell' ended with the police arriving at the Wiltons to find the house bloodied. Harrison (Billy Eichner) was arrested – possibly framed – and Meadow was nowhere to be seen.

The cliffhanger came after Harrison told Kai earlier in the episode that he wanted Meadow dead.

"You'll find out," Grossman told TVGuide.com, when asked if viewers will discover what actually happened. "I can't give you any details, but all I can tell you is it's bananas!

"Nothing is ever as it seems on this show, and nothing is ever simple. So it's really interesting and fun and crazy and unfolds in a really amazing way.

"All I can tell you is there's a lot more to the story.

"After the third episode, there's so much more to learn. I think you'll see Meadow commit to the courage of her convictions. Kai changes Meadow in fundamental ways."

Fans heaped praise on the episode, with some calling Cult the best season of the anthology series in years.
