Aid Arrives at Besieged Damascus Town of Madaya

An aid convoy arrived on the outskirts of the besieged rebel-held town of Madaya, in Damascus Province, on March 14, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The convoy, which included 75 truckloads of food and medical supplies, distributed aid to about 40,000 people in the town, opposition sources said. This video, from a pro-government outlet, shows a convoy of aid trucks.

Other aid convoys arrived near the besieged towns of Kafr Aya and Foah in Idlib Province on the same date as part of a deal between the opposition and Syrian regime, the Observatory said. Credit: War Media via Storyful
