Air ambulance lands at farm as 4x4 crash leaves teen in ditch

A 19-year-old woman was taken to hospital after a crash at a farm left her in a ditch. An air ambulance landed off Peover Lane, Congleton, following the collision.

The teenager had been driving a 4x4 all terrain vehicle along a track when she the smash happened on Monday evening (January 24). Police and firefighters were also called to the scene at around 7.05pm.

Paramedics treated her on-site before taking her to hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters worked alongside police and paramedic colleagues to attend to a casualty following a collision involving an all terrain vehicle. The crews stabilised and secured the ATV while the casualty was cared for by paramedics and helimed."

A Cheshire Police said: "Police were called to reports of a collision at a farm on Peover Lane, near Congleton. Officers attended and found a 4x4 vehicle had come off a track and fallen into a ditch.

"The driver of the car, a 19-year-old woman, was released from the vehicle by paramedics before being taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing."

A spokesperson for North West Air Ambulance Charity said: "We can confirm that the North West Air Ambulance Charity was called to an incident in Congleton on the 24 of June, H72 responded."
