Air ambulance lands for medical emergency in Nuneaton

An air ambulance was called to a medical emergency on a Nuneaton street. It formed part of the emergency services response to a 999 call made to report a man 'in a serious condition' on Greendale Road earlier today.

Police managed the scene while medics helped the man, who is understood to have collapsed. A West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) spokesperson said that the man was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

"We were called to reports of a medical emergency on Greendale Road at 12.10pm, two ambulances and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene," the WMAS spokesperson said.

The spokesperson added: "On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was in a serious condition. Following treatment at the scene, he was transported to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire by land ambulance."

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson confirmed that officers were called to the scene at 12.15pm. There are no ongoing investigations.
