Air ambulance lands at Nottingham school after incident involving pupil
An air ambulance was spotted landing at a school in Nottingham following an incident involving a pupil. The emergency services were called to Nottingham Academy in Bakersfield on Thursday afternoon (January 16).
The incident happened outside the academy's Greenwood Campus. A spokesperson for the academy said: "We are aware of an incident outside the Academy this afternoon that involved a pupil and resulted in emergency services being called.
"We are in close contact with the family involved and will continue to provide the appropriate support." The nature of the incident remains unclear at this stage.

The air ambulance reportedly landed at 3.40pm. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Emergency services were called to Avon Road, Bakersfield, at around 3.30pm on Thursday (16 January) following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution."
