Air Tankers Drop Water on Growing Mart Fire in Highland

A brush fire known as the Mart Fire burned more than 300 acres on Tuesday afternoon, June 27, near Highland, California. Highway 330 in Highland was closed and mandatory evacuations were ordered.

Two hundred firefighters were battling the fire, which started on the west side of the 330, reported the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. The fire jumped the highway and was climbing into the San Bernardino National Forest.
