Aircraft Navigate Smoky Sky to Battle Fawn Fire in Northern California

More than 2,000 firefighters continued to battle the Fawn Fire that burned 8,559 acres in Shasta County, California, and was 50 percent contained as of Monday morning, September 27, according to Cal Fire.

Newly released footage from Cal Fire shows aircraft dropping fire retardant on September 24 and water on September 25.

The arson-caused fire had destroyed 155 structures and threatened 2,340 others as of Monday, according to Cal Fire.
