Disgusted Traveller Spots Passenger Napping With Bare Feet - So Throws His Shoes In Bin

Travelling can be a test of patience at the best of times – even without your fellow passengers annoying you.

So when a man took off his shoes and socks for an airport nap, it was all too much for one fellow traveller.

The ‘vigilante’, who said such behaviour showed a lack of respect, simply picked up the man’s footwear threw it in a bin.

The man even recorded himself during Monday’s incident at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in China, the Mirror reports.

The traveller told the camera: “I saw a man lying on the seats with his shoes and socks off.

"What will foreigners think if they see such ill manners? They will wonder about how low people’s standards are.”

According to reports, two airport employees had seen the shoeless but took no action.

A spokesman for Xiamen airport said: “For this type of uncivilised behaviour, we can only issue verbal warnings, with no related penalties or punishment.”

The airport said travellers encountering similar situations should tell staff. “It is not recommended to take this extreme method,” the spokesman said.
