Alan Carr has sent Adele fans into a spin by teasing that he’s heard her new music and that it’s “amazing”.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting a new offering from the Rolling In The Deep singer, whose last studio album, 25, was released in 2015.
And her close friend Carr has now shared that it will be well worth the wait.
He spilled the beans during a chat with Grazia magazine, when he was asked which star’s new album was rumoured to be coming out in February.
'It's Adele, isn't it?” he replied. “I've actually heard some tracks on it.
“Oh my God, it's amazing - so amazing.”
Carr said he told Adele her voice is like “an old friend” because although some artists sound a bit like her “when you hear Adele's voice, you go ‘Oh no, there's only one’.”
He also joked that Adele’s vocals have not been altered by her recent weight loss, saying she’s “still got a chunky but funky voice”.
Fans were thrilled by Carr’s comments, with many posting messages on social media expressing their excitement.
“Pleaseeee....we can't wait @Adele,” one person posted on Twitter.
“I can't wait for the day I wake up and Adele’s released the lead and everyone's going crazy cause I KNOW it will be a MOMENT,” said another fan.
