Alan Carr breaks down on BBC Michael McIntyre's Big Show and says 'that's it'
Alan Carr has broken down on BBC Michael McIntyre's Big Show during an emotional reunion. A person from Carr's past admitted he wanted to 'apologise' to the comedian, who is renowned for being the Channel 4 Chatty Man presenter.
The BBC episode on Saturday saw Carr introduced to a series of people from his past in the new Remember Me? Segment. During the segment, the 48-year-old encountered several guests including a florist who had delivered flowers to him that same morning.
The second was a former colleague from his time working at a call centre. But it was the third that left Alan emotional, with Michael introducing Carr’s former drama teacher, Mr Bowden, during an emotional scene on January 18.

“Do you remember me?” Mr Bowden asked, Alan told him: “I... I... I do remember him. He’s my wonderful drama teacher Mr Bowden!” Carr described Bowden as “the most amazing teacher ever” as he fought back tears.
“When you’re at school, and you’re not having the best time, I used to love the drama lessons and stuff and just being someone else for the afternoon. It was proper magical. You were just the best,” he continued.
“He’s absolutely wonderful. He was a marvellous, marvellous student. You should have seen the work he put in,” Mr Bowden said. He continued: “Alan, you’ve said some lovely things about me. May I say thank you for teaching me?
"Because that’s what you did.” Alan broke down in tears at these words, and left the box in emotional scenes. “That’s it. I’m coming down,” he said. Carr and Bowden embraced as a touched McIntyre looked on before the beloved drama teacher asked if he had time for “one more thing”.
Mr Bowden said: “Right Alan, in front of all these people I want to apologise to you”." When Alan asked why, Mr Bowden laughed: “You only got a B!”
