Albanian PM Meets With Rescue Crews as Earthquake Death Toll Mounts

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama met with rescue crews working through the night in Durres on November 27 as recovery efforts continued following a deadly earthquake.

The death toll rose to at least 25 by the morning, according to reports. Hundreds of others were injured when the 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck north of Tirana in the early hours of November 26. The earthquake was one of the strongest to hit the country in decades.
