Aldi’s Released A Giant Ferrero Rocher And It’s The Stuff Of Chocolate And Hazelnut Dreams

From Delish

I love a Ferrero Rocher, me. But there’s always been one thing that’s troubled me about them. They’re just too damn small. What am I supposed to do – eat an entire pyramid per sitting? I mean, yeah, that’s fine, but still – just think of all the unwrapping I’d have to do.

So imagine my joy when I saw that Aldi has released a giant Ferrero Rocher. It’s like one of the guys at Aldi climbed up into my head!

It’s part of this year’s Aldi Christmas range, and is the perfect pudding for those family members who don’t like Christmas pudding. Which is quite a few, turns out.

The giant dessert is filled with a milk chocolate and hazelnut mousse, milk chocolate feuilletine (ooooo, posh) and a cocoa sponge cake. It’s then covered in a hard chocolate and hazelnut shell.

According to The Grocer, the Specially Selected Chocolate & Praline Dome, will hit stores as a limited edition frozen dessert from 26 October, and will stick around all through the festive season.

So no one’s saying you have to save it for Christmas Day. How does one-a-week sound from 26 October?

An Aldi spokesperson said about the supermarket’s Christmas range: “No one knows exactly how the situation will have changed by December but one thing we're sure of is that Christmas won't be cancelled.

“What we're going through now and have been through, means people are going to be even more focused on celebrating with their household, sharing food and drink and gifts with their families, and that's where Aldi comes in.”
