Aldi store in Nottinghamshire to reopen to customers after big revamp
Shoppers in a Nottinghamshire village will be able to enjoy a number of improvements to one of the city's Aldi stores, as it reopens after refurbishment. The German retailer will reopen its Chatterley Parkway branch in Strelley on Tuesday, October 15, at 8am.
The improvements include updated signage to make shopping easier, increased chiller space which will also benefit from new fridge doors to reduce energy consumption, and redesigned health and beauty and bakery sections. All fruit and vegetables will now be located in the first aisle.
The improvements to the 1,254 sqm store are part of Aldi's £600million investment into further improving stores and services across the UK. Store Manager Rikki Ellis said: "The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves.
"We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and service they’re used to." During the reopening week, the store will be offering a range of household essentials for winter, including a heated throw for £29.99, a winter warm duvet from £16.99 and a bedding range starting from £3.99.
The store, which has 32 employees and opened in 2018, is open Monday to Saturday between 8am and 10pm, and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.
