Alex Murdaugh defence witness suggests there were ‘two shooters’ of wife and son

A crime scene analyst called as a witness for Alex Murdaugh’s defence team has cast doubts on the prosecution’s theory of how the murders of his wife and son unfolded.

Tim Palmbach, an expert in blood spatter analysis, testified that evidence supports the defence’s theory that two shooters may be responsible for the murders.

“My opinion is the totality of the evidence is more suggestive of a two-shooter scenario,” Mr Palmbach said in court on Monday (27 February) before explaining his opinion.
