Alex Trebek has given fans an update on his health as he remains in treatment for pancreatic cancer.

The Jeopardy! host addressed fans in a video shared on Thursday on the show’s YouTube channel.

He first disclosed his stage four pancreatic cancer diagnosis in March 2019 and has publicly discussed his health and treatment since.

“I’m doing well. I’ve been continuing my treatment and it is paying off, though it does fatigue me a great deal,” he said in the latest video.

“My numbers are good. I’m feeling great.”

Trebek announced in September 2019 that he was to resume chemotherapy after previously believing he was done with that part of treatment.

In the latest update, Trebek also told viewers he’s looking forward to returning to the Jeopardy! studio when it’s safe to do so, “which I hope will be very, very soon”.

For now, he has recorded special openings from home for a series of special broadcasts taken from the Jeopardy! archive, to air in July.

Trebek also discussed his forthcoming memoir, The Answer Is... Reflections On My Life, which will be released on 21 July.
