Alexis Sanchez boards private jet ahead of Manchester United medical as Henrikh Mkhitaryan Arsenal swap moves closer

Alexis Sanchez has boarded a private jet as he prepares to complete a move to Manchester United.

The Arsenal star is reportedly set to undergo his medical on Sunday after his club agreed a swap deal with United which will see Henrikh Mkhitaryan move the other way.

Asked about the transfer after United's 1-0 win over Burnley on Saturday, Jose Mourinho said: "I think we are going to be successful."

Arsene Wenger said: "I expect it to happen maybe, but I cannot announce it because in the next 48 hours it will be decided one way or the other."

Sanchez filmed himself boarding the jet and posted the footage on his Instagram account. The 29-year-old is due at United’s Carrington training complex on Sunday ahead of his switch.

He has already agreed personal terms worth an initial £350,000-a-week plus bonuses and image rights which will make him the highest-paid player in English football history.
