Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United: Time running out for Arsenal star to be registered in time for trip to Burnley

Manchester United have until midday Friday to complete and register the signing of Alexis Sanchez for the Chilean to be available for this weekend’s trip to Burnley.

Jose Mourinho is hoping that a deal for the Chile international can ratified with Arsenal in time for Saturday’s match that kicks off at 3pm at Turf Moor.

As reported by Standard Sport on Thursday, Arsenal are holding out for cash plus player deal, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and £10million arriving from Old Trafford.

The Gunners are keen to get the deal done in time, also, with Arsene Wenger hopeful the Armenian will be available for their clash with Crystal Palace at the Emirates. That too is a 3pm kick off on Saturday.

Speaking about Mkhitaryan in his pre-match press conference, Wenger said: “The wages will not be a problem.

“Yes of course. If it’s a possibility because I like the player,” he added when asked for his thoughts on the United playmaker.

“We played many times against him. He appreciates the quality of our game and the way we play football.

“That’s why he loves the club as well.”
