Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United transfer is 'not done at all', confirms Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Manchester United are still waiting to complete their pursuit of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

United have been strongly linked with the Chile international, who is out of contract at the Emirates in the summer, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan potentially moving to the Gunners as part of a swap deal.

Standard Sport understands that Arsenal are pushing United to include a cash payment of up to £10million to allow the deal to go through.

Sanchez and Mkhitaryan will not be playing for their potential new clubs this weekend as the deadline for registering new players for Premier League action passed at midday on Friday with no deals concluded.

And speaking at Friday's press conference, Mourinho said: "(There is) nothing new.

"I think clearly everybody knows that we are there and especially when Arsenal's manager speaks so clearly like he did there is no point in trying to hide or to deny. But (it's) not done, not done at all."

Mkhitaryan, who could move the other way, will not be involved against Burnley.

Mourinho added: "No, (he is) not selected. But (he is) in very good condition."
