Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender Give Cute Couple Goals at London Premiere of The Light Between Oceans

Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender lit up the red carpet on Wednesday at the London premiere of their new film The Light Between Oceans.

The 28-year-old Swedish actress graced the red carpet in a Louis Vuitton floor-length gown with a multi-shade blue floral print and cute waistline ruffle.

She opted for a sophisticated updo, her layers framing her elegant face on either side of her center part. Vikander completed the look with a set of sparkling Bulgari earrings.

Fassbender, 39, looked sharp in a navy suit, crisp collared shirt, skinny maroon tie and a matching pocket square as he stayed with his girlfriend of two years throughout the event.

The pair began dating in 2014, after meeting on the set of The Light Between Oceans. The film’s director, Derek Cianfance, told Vanity Fair that the actors had chemistry from the start: “They were an undeniably good match,” he said.

The cute couple made their public debut during awards season, for which both were nominated at every major show — Vikander for The Danish Girl and Fassbender for Steve Jobs.

When Vikander won the Oscar for best supporting actress last year, they shared a kiss before she accepted her award.

While promoting The Light Between Oceans together, the couple told Entertainment Weekly that it wasn’t hard to separate fact from fiction on the set.

“It wasn’t the first time in a movie either of us had played somebody who is falling in love. There is an element of separation there,” Fassbender said, adding, “If I’m playing a murderer, I don’t go out and start murdering people.”

Vikander agreed, saying “I think we’ve made a clear statement that we keep certain things just between us. It was very easy to unite, but that’s quite personal.”
