Alien: Covenant has dropped a brand new teaser clip, and let's just say that things get tense.

In the four-minute scene, titled 'The Last Supper', we see the cast of characters that were introduced earlier this week doing what you'd never expect an Alien cast to do - getting down and partying.

Alongside Michael Fassbender's android and Katherine Waterston's Daniels, we also get a closer look at James Franco's Captain Branson.

In the clip, the group start to let loose, before one of the crew starts to choke… cue panic over whether an alien will pop out of her chest!

But never fear, Fassbender comes in to save the day with a sharp whack between the shoulder blades, declaring: "I've got your back."

In other words, it's one of the happiest scenes we're likely to see, at least going by the Alien franchise's standards.

The Prometheus sequel will see the Covenant crew head to a dangerous world (what else?), where they encounter Fassbender's other android David.

However, Fassbender recently hinted to Digital Spy that his two separate android characters may not get on so well.

"We're coming to a period after Prometheus... The thing is, obviously, there's been modifications to the robots since then," he said.

"So there's been developments because of some of the things that David had that perhaps were a bit worrying for people - the characteristics."

Alien: Covenant opens on May 19 in the UK and the US.
