Alison Hammond fights tears on This Morning after rare comments about boyfriend
Alison Hammond was seen fighting tears on This Morning shortly after making rare comments about her boyfriend live on the show. The presenter made an unusual appearance at the helm of the ITV daytime programme alongside Cat Deeley.
Alison and her usual Friday co-host Dermot O'Leary have been taking it in turns to keep Cat Deeley company after Ben Shephard headed to New Zealand to film his new ITV show, The Summit.
During Wednesday's (November 13) This Morning, Alison, 49, and Cat, 48, spoke to author Rosie Nixon about world kindness day. She was live in the studio to talk to the hosts about her new book Be Kind before they took viewers' calls on how to make people smile.

A viewer called Abigail opened up about her dad's deteriorating eyesight - which means that in the future he won't see her in a wedding dress. However, a lady in her community, who owns a bridal shop, let them go into her store for her to try some on.
As Alison read out that he will always have that memory, her voice started to shake as she said: "This is making me emotional!" The TV star wiped the tears away from her cheek as Rosie told her: "Don't because you'll set me off!"
It came after a lady called Anita phoned in to thank Alison for being so kind to her whole on a train alongside her new beau, David Putman. Speaking on the show, Anita said: "Alison you are a wonderful person who made a lady feel so special. We met on the Pullman train. My husband was the guard and I'd been invited on because I'd just finished cancer treatment - chemo and radiotherapy.
"You never rushed me out, you asked me everything, what I'd gone through. Alison, I know you're from the midlands but I think we're such special people that we've always got a smile and a kind word, and like yourself, I like to think I'm kind but sometimes you do get hurt being kind. You, Alison, I can't tell what you did for me that day."
Alison then interjected to say: "That's such a lovely thing to say. Anita, what's lovely about you is that you haven't mentioned who I was with. See how lovely that was!" She then went on to explain how it was her first date with her now boyfriend.
"It was my first date with my boyfriend. It was so lovely, and you met him before anyone else knew anything about him. And you loved him didn't you?" before Anita remarked that he was "so tall". Alson remarked: "He's so tall!" before saying of their date: "We went on the train and she came and joined us and we had some wine. I was so nervous."
