Alison Hammond left wanting to cry over interview blunder
This Morning's Alison Hammond was left feeling emotional after her interview with Kylie Minogue didn't go to plan.
Friday's (October 18) episode of This Morning saw Alison sitting down with the pop icon to discuss her upcoming album.
Known for her friendly and down-to-earth interview style, the Bake Off host wanted to present Minogue with a touching gift. "I was up all night and I made you a poem, are you ready?" she told the singer.

However, Alison struggled to locate the poem on her mobile phone and later admitted she had deleted it by mistake. Minogue responded to the blunder sympathetically.
"Stop it, you didn't?!" she giggled. Alison answered: "I did, I want to cry. Should've been in my head, really."
After Minogue kindly suggested they could make up a new poem together, the pair freestyled a rap in the moment. As the pre-filmed segment ended, co-host Dermot O'Leary applauded Alison's recovery from the mishap.
She replied: "You know what, I'd never been so nervous! Her throwing lines at me and me having to rhyme them."

Alison went on to reveal that she had actually located the original poem after the interview had ended, adding that "[Minogue] really got into it".
Cutting back to the interview, Alison was finally able to read out the poem. "Sequin stilettos and beats that don't quit, Kylie walks in and the whole world's lit. She's spinning since the days of 'Locomotion', now she's causing another wild pop commotion."
She continued: "From disco to diva she's done it all. But, does Kylie ever age? No, she stands tall. With a wink and a shimmy, she conquers the stage making tension to sound like a new gold age."
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV.
