Yahoo News Alison Hammond shares heartfelt post about her son
Alison Hammond has shared a heartfelt message about her son after she hosted a joint birthday party with him over the weekend.
Alison turned 48 on 5 February and her son, Aiden, recently turned 18. To mark the special occasion, the mother and son shared a star-studded party and the TV presenter has given fans a glimpse inside the event with photos and videos posted on Instagram.
In one emotional post, the star marked her son's milestone birthday with a sweet picture of the two hugging. She wrote alongside: "Well that was a night to remember !!! 48/18 thanks to everyone who came to share our beautiful birthday night , both Aidan and I felt very loved . I raised a Child for 18 years and he’s now an Adult , Wow I’m so emotional but it’s all happy emotion . I’m gonna sit back now and enjoy my birthday."
Alison was joined at the party by some of her celebrity friends and fellow This Morning presenters, including Holly Willoughby, Carol Vorderman, Josie Gibson and Dermot O'Leary. In another Instagram post, her son Aidan can be seen with Gok Wan, who was resident DJ for the night.
In a video from the party, Alison told fans: "We're live on Instagram," as she filmed her guests dancing the night away. She signed off by saying: "I've had some birthday cake, I've had some food, I'm drinking water and I've had a lovely time. I hope you've enjoyed joining me, I'm gonna go now and enjoy my party. Love you, bye!"
Holly Willoughby also shared a snap from the celebration, writing: "This picture sums the night up… blurry… happiest of birthdays to @alisonhammond55 … love you 😘@dermotoleary @thismorning ♥️"
And Carol Voderman shared her highlights from the night with a fun video montage.
