All Aboard - Eerie Photos Of Abandoned Orient Express Train

An urban photographer - known only as ‘Brian’ - has captured these incredible images of the once luxurious Grand Orient Express.

Back when it was built in 1883 the train was a favourite for affluent travellers. Now it stands rusting on its tracks in Belgium, following its final trip back in December 2009.

The train was built by the international hotel and travel logistics group, Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits, and remains one of a just few left in the word.

Another of its kind, the Venice-Simplon Orient Express, has since been turned into hotel suites that promise guests ‘a world of timeless glamour’.

Brian writes on his website: ‘When I step into an abandoned site it feels like stepping into a time machine.’
