Petit Café has announced the immediate closure of its Allerton Road site, Petit Café Du Quartier. The business expressed its gratitude to patrons while directing them to sister sites across the city, which remain open.

Petit Café opened its first site on Berry Street in 2017. The Parisian-inspired venue became known for its cosy setting, live jazz entertainment and selection of charcuterie and cocktails.

The Allerton Road site, Petit Café Du Quartier, opened in 2022 with the same concept "but with an expanded day time food offering tailored for the local neighbourhood." A statement issued today from Petit Café confirmed the site "will be closing its doors immediately."

The statement shared on Instagram reads: "We regret to inform you that Petit Café Du Quartier on Allerton Road will be closing its doors immediately. All our dedicated team members have been relocated to other positions within our larger business.

"We express our deepest gratitude to all our loyal customers and hope to welcome you back to (Petit Cafe's other branches) Lark Lane or Berry Street in the near future."

In March last year, Petit Café opened what would be its third location on Lark Lane, occupying the space previously housing restaurant Bistro Noir. Sharing the news they would be moving in online, Petit Café said at the time: "Announcement: Le Nouveau Petit Café. Introducing our third instalment to the Petit Café family!
