Almost 1,000 Hectares Burned by Wildfire in Herault
Nearly 1,000 hectares were burned by wildfire in the Herault department in southern France on Tuesday, July 26, officials said.
Video filmed by Twitter user @RiviereThomas34 shows smoke rising from the fire.
Officials said 280 people were evacuated as a precaution from the municipality of Aumelas as a wildfire burned at the southern part of the A750 motorway. It said a second fire broke out nearby, between Puechabon and Aniane.
