If you've been bingeing on Netflix's Altered Carbon recently, you may want to rewind to catch a subtle but neat nod to Game of Thrones.
The new drama already has a couple of connections to the HBO fantasy epic – for example Miguel Sapochnik, who has directed Thrones episodes such as 'Battle of the Bastards', helmed the pilot episode of the TV adaptation for Richard K Morgan's 2002 novel.
But in episode three, eagled-eyed viewers have spotted a visual reference...
In episode three, when Miss Prescott pays the police station a visit, the camera makes a point of showing the building exterior.
Adorned on one of the windows is a seven-pointed star (and spotted by, of course, a Reddit user), an Easter egg referencing the Faith of the Seven, the dominant religion in most of the Seven Kingdoms, led by the High Septon in the world of Game of Thrones.
Altered Carbon stars Joel Kinnaman as a former member of a military elite who wakes up in a different man's body and is tasked with investigating the apparent suicide of one of Earth's richest men.
Martha Higareda, Dichen Lachman, Ato Essandoh, Kristin Lehman, James Purefoy and Renée Elise Goldsberry also feature among the cast.
If a second season happens, it seems like Kinnaman may not be part of it. Which probably isn't surprising if you know where the books go.
