Amanda Bynes may have had her share of personal battles and run-ins with the law, but from the looks of a new picture, the former child star has moved on from her troubled past.
On Sunday (23 April) the Hairspray! star made a triumphant return to Twitter to share her first snap on social media in over a year. She captioned the snap of her and a friend admiring several bouquets of flowers in a grand lobby: "Stopping to smell the flowers on a gorgeous Sunday!"
Scores of her 3.3 million followers rallied around the 31-year-old, offering messages of support and commenting that she looked happy and healthy. Some even suggested that this was the biggest hint yet that she may be preparing to make a comeback.
"Hope you're doing okay my babe, sending you positivity & my love," one fans said.
Another wrote: "It's good to see you looking so well. :)"
A third offered: "Those are the most important moments, honey. Xox"
Bynes has largely shied away from the limelight since October 2014, when she was placed in involuntary psychiatric care after exhibiting erratic behaviour, including accusing her father of putting her chip in her head, in a series of disturbing tweets.
Months later, a family friend told ABC News that he was doing much better. The insider said: "Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago. She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence."
In February, she resurfaced briefly to dismiss rumours that she was pregnant and condemned a fake Twitter account claiming to be her.
Earlier in April, the 31-year-old Nickelodeon alum was photographed enjoying a hike with a friend in North Hollywood, California.
In 2014, she enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and is said to be working on a fashion line, which is scheduled to debut later this year.
