Amanda Holden admits she's BANNED from daughter Lexie's school sports day

Amanda Holden has revealed that she has been banned from her daughter’s school sports day due to her competitive spirit.

The Heart Breakfast presenter confessed that her eldest daughter Lexie, 13, has prevented her from attending the annual event, though her youngest child Hollie, seven, still invites her along.

“Lexie’s sports day, she’s a bit older, she’s banned me from going to that on Friday,” Holden told co-host Jamie Theakston.

“Is that because you get a bit super competitive?” he asked.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge agreed that she is “massively competitive,” before revealing that she once spotted actor Colin Firth at a previous sports day event.

“When Lexie was in Year Four, I saw Colin Firth on a space hopper in the dads’ race,” she reminisced.

“His kids went to the same school as Lexie and we weren’t allowed to get our phones out, can you imagine!” she added.

Holden joined Theakston as a Heart Breakfast presenter at the start of the month.

Last week, she came face to face with her first boyfriend live on air after Theakston managed to track down Clifford Colver, who Holden met aged nine.

The presenter contacted Holden’s ex on FaceTime, prompting the star to admit that he looks “like Tom Hanks in Castaway - in a good way.”

Holden admitted that she still owns a recorder engraved with her name that Clifford gave her after a trip to Romania, before attempting to set him up with her sister Debbie.

Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden airs weekdays from 6.30am to 10am.
