Amanda Holden marked her eldest daughter’s birthday in memorable fashion - by asking fans at the London Palladium to sing Happy Birthday while filming Britain’s Got Talent.

The panellist is currently filming auditions for the ITV talent contest alongside Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell, and shared a video of Lexi’s celebrations on Instagram.

To celebrate her daughter’s 14th birthday, the TV star, 48, invited her on stage with a group of her friends.

She and her fellow judges then led the crowd in a rendition of Happy Birthday as a colourful tiered cake was brought onto their desk.

Lexi then struggled to blow out the candles, prompting Cowell to joke: “Seriously Lexi, this is getting silly now.”

Amanda captioned the post: “Lexi is as old as @bgt - 14! So happy she had this wonderful moment with her friends and us.”

Holden also marked her daughter’s birthday by sharing a throwback photo of Lexi as a baby alongside a more recent shot on social media.

“How did this happen,” she wrote. “My beautiful, funny (very tall) daughter Lexi turns 14 today. I always think it’s impossible to love her more.

“But with each year our hearts are fit to burst. She’ll always be our baby.”

Amanda and her husband Chris Hughes are also parents to seven-year-old Hollie Rose, who also joined her mother for the latest round of Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

The series is set to return to ITV later this year, with a start date yet to be confirmed by the broadcaster.
