Amanda Holden and Stacey Solomon among celebs flaunting their pools in heatwave

Amanda Holden is among the stars flaunting their luxurious home pools, while the rest of Britain sizzles in the record heatwave.

While many were posting on social media about a fretful night struggling to sleep in the soaring temperatures, the Britain’s Got Talent star, 51, shared a picture of herself lounging in her swimming pool.

Holden captioned the image on Instagram: "Floating with the unicorn."

Wearing a tiny blue bikini, sunglasses and long red nails, the TV star lay back on an inflatable unicorn, soaking up the sun in the outdoor pool.

Stacey Solomon also showed off her family cooling off the outdoor pool, which was recently completed at their newly refurbished home Pickle Cottage.

The Loose Women star posted a picture of her youngest kids, three-year-old Rex and nine-month-old Rose, playing in the swimming pool on her Instagram stories.

She captioned the picture: "Feel so so lucky & grateful to have the pool. Especially in this weather.

"Hope you are ok today it's going to be so hot in some places to look after yourself and the fur babies love you lots."

She also shared a clip of fiance Joe Swash and Rex playing in the pool.

Danielle Lloyd chose the day of the heatwave to unveil a birds-eye video of her newly completed outdoor swimming pool.

She captioned the picture and drone clip: "It’s been a long stressful road but finally got our beautiful garden and pool finished and it couldn’t of come at a better time."

On her Stories she shared pictured of herself and her children - including seven-month-old daughter Autumn - playing in the pool.

The reality star is mum to Archie, 11, Harry, ten, and eight-year-old George with her ex Jamie O’Hara and has Ronnie, four, with her husband Michael O'Neill.

Elizabeth Hurley, 57, posted a video clip reminding her followers to wear a hat and suncream in the hot weather.

And Strictly: It Takes Two presenter and Radio 2 DJ Rylan revealed he was enjoying the luxury of a cool dip in his swimming pool, sharing a clip of himself splashing his feet in the water.
