Amanda Holden issues message to Ruth Langsford over Eamonn Holmes' new romance

Amanda Holden has sent a brief message to Ruth Langsford following the sighting of her ex-husband Eamonn Holmes with his new partner in Spain.

The Britain's Got Talent judge, 53, made the remark on Heart Breakfast with Jason King this morning (Monday, September 9). Eamonn Holmes, 66, was recently seen arriving in Barcelona on a mobility scooter with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, 44.

This follows the surprising split of Eamonn and Ruth Langsford in May after 14 years of wedded bliss.

Amanda commented: "Well, I hope they have a lovely time," reports the Mirror. She then delivered a four-word message to Ruth, stating: "Ruth is looking amazing."

The BGT star added: "She's looking smashing; she's had a couple of hair extensions."

JK chimed in: "I'm gonna ask it. Isn't Eamonn's new girlfriend a marriage counsellor? " His co-hosts both responded with a resounding "yes".

Amanda went on: "So maybe it's not relationship but he's just having therapy onboard." After the radio hosts chuckled, JK responded: "Look, we hope they're both happy. That's the main thing."

Eamonn first began conversing with Katie in 2015 after she responded to one of his social media posts, sparking a dialogue between them. In September, it was reported that the pair travelled to Carrickfergus together.

In May, a joint statement was released regarding Eamonn and Ruth's marriage. It stated: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

The popular TV duo hadn't been seen together for a while before they issued the statement, sparking worry among their followers.

Ruth, 64, had reportedly become "more his carer than a wife", according to a friend, and she made a comeback on social media after her former partner, who has been struggling with health problems, was snapped during his visit to Spain.

The Loose Women star, who hasn't spoken about the new relationship yet, posted a picture of herself donning attire from her QVC collection, with the caption: "All my own work".
